Description:
Force can be measured. Springs stretch predictably with added weight.
How to Guide: Make a homemade spring scale with rubber bands to measure weight (mass and gravity). Tape a ruler to a stick. Tie a rubber band to the top and hang a cup from it. Mark “0” when the cup is empty. Add small erasers (each weighs about 10 grams) one at a time. Mark the new spots: “10 grams,” “20 grams,” etc. Now you can weigh different small objects!
